Good looking truck! Got any other plans for it?

Re: Clean little 97
Next step is wheels. Probably a 22 rear/ 20 front stance.
Thinking KMC Novas in full polish, but open to suggestions. I just love the look of a nice clean stock truck with a drop and a set of wheels. Something about them with full trim and factory paint and interior. Last edited by wjjeeper; 10-29-2014 at 02:07 PM. |

Yup. I saw those wheels sitting in his shop before they went on the truck. I had the same wheels on my 77. |

Re: Clean little 97
Absolutely, yes.
It will essentially be a copy of my other 97, just different rims. |

Good question. I like them better with the valance. Should look great! Just needs beefier tires IMO.

Re: Clean little 97
Looks good. I like novas too. I always thought they looked smooth and simple. Comparing the 24s to the 22s. I like the 4s a little better, but I like big wheels. So to each his own. Both look really good.

Re: Clean little 97
That truck with the 24s is nice, but I don't like that the lips had to be rolled. This truck with the 22s rides a little nicer and feels more driveable.
I like them both though, they're both clean trucks. |

Re: Clean little 97
What do you mean by lips? Fender pinchwell? If so how did you get away with not rolling them for the 22s? I'm running a 265/35/22 (around 30-31" tall) 22x9 +32 offset with 6.25" back spacing with around a 5/6 drop. Every big dip would rub if the wheels were turned even a little bit. I had to roll the fenders.

Re: Clean little 97
I did not roll the pinch welds at all. The width and backspacing worked with these rims.
