3rd seat

Do 73-76(maybe higher) Suburban (GMC or Chevy) 3rd seats physically bolt in place on a '69 Burb. I know 67-72s bolt with a bracket to the floor for the front part of the seats. It looks like the years I am asking about, the seats bolt directly to the floor. Do the bolt holes line up with each other? If anybody has this year Suburban(73-76), can they measure the center to center distance between the two front holes?
Thanks,
Chris

I'm a Blazer guy, but since no Suburban guys have chimed in let me try to answer this one.

The later Suburban third seat you are refering to is the same as the '73-'77 Blazer second seat. It has four formed sheet metal legs that sit on the floor. The '78-up Blazer got the fold and tumble rear seat (the Suburban got this fold and tumble at about the same time).

Likewise, the '67-'72 Suburban third seat is the same as the '69-'72 Blazer second seat.

The '73-'77 Blazer second seat does NOT share any common bolt holes with the '69-'72 Blazer second seat. So the short answer to your question is "no".

I forgot to say that I checked underneath my Burb yesterday, and I found out that the two front mounting points are moveable. They mount to seat plates underneath the floor. The back mounts are on a crossmember. So my question is do the rear mounting points match up??

No, the rear mouning points do not match up. When I put a '73-'77 Blazer rear seat into my '71, I had to drill four holes. The new rear holes lined up with a OE structural steel plate which I was able to weld nuts to (same plate the original rear seat holes were in), but the front holes required me adding steel plate under the floor to weld nuts to.
