hello everyone. my name is Rob. i am currently working on a 1963 chevy suburban. A rear tire blowout with family on board on way to Lead East re-invigorated my plans for a front cross member swap to get disc brakes. i have seen info that a 73-87 half ton front cross member is a bolt in deal. a friend gave me a front crossmember out of a 1986 chevy van. does anyone know if the van crossmember differs from the 73-87 half ton pick up and in what way. there dont seem to be any 2wd pick ups in my area in the junkyards...thanks

Welcome to the board, Sounds like you have a nice plan for disc breaks. Hope you get it all figured out.
