Thanks! It's a hoot to cruise around in and the sound deadening has really helped keep the heat in the cab!

Gonna try some new shoes and rims. I'm drilling rims and mounting factory caps.

Love the look with the fresh white paint.
I have an 87 3/4 ton Sub, that is white, my original paint is peeling off like your early pics.

Re: 1988 suburban barn find!

I really didn't know how much Id like it but with the 285/70-17 and 17" wheels, I like it! The mud terrains were vibrating a little at 70, so i hope this cures the problem and I think it looks cleaner.

The soda blasting was nice because I left my original glass on the burb.

The whole thing looks awesome and the wheel combination is a perfect fit.

My son took mine to tech school and the body kids straightened out all 6 doors and the quarters.
So only the hood, front clip, and roof need attention. I was thinking of an aftermarket cowl hood.
My truck came from New Mexico, so it is cancer free, it is a 454, 2wd tow rig.
One interesting thing it has is a US Gear under overdrive unit mounted behind the transmission. Makes the 4:10 gears act like 3:10.
Keep the reports coming.

Re: 1988 suburban barn find!

What wheels are those? They look similar to what is on my truck right now but there are some differences. Mine have 7 round holes and are 5 lug with polished finish but they're a little rough..
