Question Pusher Fan Recommendations

Want to add some airflow help to my 81. All I currently have is the factory clutch fan and fan shroud. Would like something to help with the condenser air flow. I think Mississippi & Louisiana heat is a little much for the factory setup to keep AC efficient and cool things some.

Thanks all.

Re: Pusher Fan Recommendations

Mines not a pusher but I put dual fans on mine....I got em from summit...I know they've got a huge selection to pick from both pull and push...just have to measure and see what'll fit...

Re: Pusher Fan Recommendations

You will end up blocking air flow with a pusher fan, and the factory clutch fan.

Humidity in the south kills capacity of your account.

Try taking your hose, and flushing out the condenser coil + radiator fins.

Verify the charge is correct after you clean the condenser.

Re: Pusher Fan Recommendations

I ran a pair of 9 or 10 inch zirgo fans on my condenser. it will freeze you out. they are on a relay that runs when the a/c is on. works great in Louisiana, as I am down that way alot.

Re: Pusher Fan Recommendations

It would help a lot to seal the gaps around the condenser to the radiator,so the air goes thru instead of around them.
And,it should still have a factory rubber seal at the bottom between the rad and condensor.

Is yours a 5 or 7 blade fan?

Re: Pusher Fan Recommendations

All above is good suggestions . Are you sure your clutch fan is working proper . You may think so and all looks ok but those things will fool you and not be working to its capacity . Before I did anything I would put a new clutch fan on before I added a fan . If the clutch fan is not working like its supposed to a added fan is just a band aid .
