1973-74 grille mounting question

Hi I'm new to square bodies so please bear with me. I am converting my 1990 suburban to a 1973-74 nose. I couldn't find a donor vehicle so I have gotten a piece here or there as I found them . I finally got a decent 73 grille but it won't bolt up to my earlier rad support. My question is , do I need a whole different rad support or just the bolted on brackets? I was under the impression that 73-79 rad supports were the same, if they are I would like to use the one I have because it's near perfect. Please advise if you can. Thanks

Re: 1973-74 grille mounting question

The center support is different for 73/74 as are the side supports and left/right angle brackets. The radiator support itself is the same but the grille brackets are specific for 73/74. I have one NOS side grille angle bracket for sale on the parts board if you're in need of it.

The GMC had the 2 extra brackets that mounted to the 2 vertical pieces on the core support
