Shift Indicator pointer??

Does anyone know where I can find a shift indicator pointer for a 69 non tilt? Seems like the few places I checked don't carry them for my year.

Try looking at LMC Truck catalog, I only have the Fall of 2015 page 134 shows it for 67-70 #10, and #11 is for 71-72

I called them and Brothers but they discontinued for my year. I Talked to Wes at Classic Heartbeat and he told me that I could just switch everything over to a 71-72 and it should all work. Thanks for the info!

You can also try The Truck Shop in Orange,CA. Also try Classic Industries in Huntington Beach,CA. Also try NPD (National Parts Depot) in Ocala, Florida.

Check out my thread for a link to what I got. I looked a lot for my 1968 one. It didn't exist. Found one that worked perfect. Pretty sure LMC has all the years.

Re: Shift Indicator pointer??

It's on the end of the fiber optic light. Are you missing that as well?

Re: Shift Indicator pointer??

I'm not missing that part but isn't it all one piece? That's how mine appears to be or are you saying that the red indicator comes with the fiber optic cable? All the pics I see just show the cable, am I missing something?

Re: Shift Indicator pointer??

Well mine is a 68, so I cant gaurantee that they are the same but..... The red indicator is attached to the fiber optic cable. It slides into the black indicator housing, there are slots for it. It stays in place naturally once the indicator is screwed to the column. The black indicator is just an empty housing when you take it apart.

Re: Shift Indicator pointer??

Right on, I'll have to check it out and see if it will work for my year. Thanks for the info.
