waht axle would i need for a daily driver and fast?

waht is the best suspension out there that is cheap and for a lowered 2 inch ?

Drop coil spring for the front, and a pair of drop shackles for the rear.

will it feel like a tank when i drive?

Re: what axle for me?

builtchevystrong let me make a suggestion. Rather than post several separate posts, you should make one that ask most of your questions. This will allow members to see what you are trying to accomplish. You should add a few more details about what you are trying to accomplish as well.

I will merge some of the posts you have started to help you organize things.

Re: what axle for me?

Axle- depends on how much horsepower, etc. A built Ford 9inch can handle anything you can throw at it but you may not need to go that extreme, just a built 10 bolt.

Suspension- You already answered your question, in the rear it won't change anything and the front may ride a little rougher, it really all depends on your shocks.

Re: what axle for me?

Axel 12 bolt. Ratio based on tire size and tranny. Is the motor stock or modified?

Sport Truck Direct has Western Chassis drop kits. I have one on my truck. Spindals is the best way to drop it. Coils next, combo of spindal and coil next. Air bags are last.

Cheap and fast don't mix!!

umm i dont have the truck yet i just am wondering how much everything i want is going to cost. i want the motor to have about 300hp obviously some mods and 18 inch wheels. would a 12 bolt be jsut right and durable.

Re: what axle for me?

a 12 bolt with 300 hp would hold up just fine. especially for a DD. if you have a non overdrive trans, you can go with 2.73s to save on gas, 3.42s, for a little of both( what i run), or 3.73s or 4.11s for somegit up and go.. but if its your dd and if ur gonna drive it on the highway i would stick with a 3.42. no higher then 3.73

just my opinion

Re: what axle for me?

Does the truck not come with "axles" already? 300 horses is not going to seriously overstress any of the popular truck rearends unless it has some wear/tear issues already

Re: what axle for me?

A 12 bolt would holds its own against a F#$D 9". I run 355+ HP/405 ft/lbs on a 77 12-bolt. The only problem I had was u-joints. Cheap u-joints don't last. I used Spicers now.
