Blazer going back together!

After 2 years she is finally going back together. 1st issue I'm having is fender mounting. I have fender bolt kit so I'm sure I have all the correct bolts aswell as original bolts. The lower bolt at inside bottom of fender will not go in?? Picture of location and bolt set attached. 2nd issue is core support seems to high or cab to low? Fender was way off when I went to mount! I removed core support bushings and fender seems to line up perfectly? I want to get fenders on and wired today so any help will be great. Thanks to all who have gotten me this far..

Re: Blazer going back together!

I would check to make sure you have the correct bushing set for your truck. 3/4 ton bushings are much larger than 1/2 ton. As for the fender bolt, it should line up somewhere but sometimes they must be rheemed out.

I can't help you because I haven't gotten that far yet, but it's great to hear that they do actually go back together at some point.

Re: Blazer going back together!

I don't know, but looking at the bushings you have there, look like the upper bushing is too thin. Blazers have different body mounts than pickups, so there should be no confusion there. Only the core support and position 1 mounts are the same. All else is different. I don't know who's kit you have (probably LMC if it is Blazer). If so the kit isn't a good one. WES

Re: Blazer going back together!

I ended up cutting the bushing 1/2 and jacked up frame at firewall. Everything lined up so I tightened fenders down. Finished the cut and buff tonight. Hope I will get the monsterliner sprayed tomorrow. Found some new seats from a 2016 explorer for the back. Slight modification and fit great. Have 2 extra sets if anyone needs some. I know I will never be done but hope to have her on the road in 2 weeks.
