Options for Center console/ buddy seat?

I have asked the question a while back, and still wondering if anyone has found a way to either replace stock center console with a console buddy seat so I can get more seating in my blazer?
I am attempting to achieve this and some have it look like was an option in 71. Please share any suggestions...
Thank you

Re: Options for Center console/ buddy seat?

I got a very nice set of buddy bucketseat, would they work in a blazer? I think the cab behind the seat in the truck keeps it in place when lifted back. In the blazer it would fall on back, hummm lol

Thanks for the reply, would you mind emailing some pictures of the buddy seats(thecircus777@gmail.com). They will take some modification to make that center seat not flop back.
Are thinking of selling and what are you thinking about asking for them?

Re: Options for Center console/ buddy seat?

I've done some research on here. There appears to be an optional middle seat with the factory blazer buckets but is very rare.
- The middle buddy seat should fit between the two stock buckets but a support bracket will have to be fabbed on the bottom and back to support it. The factory buckets have tappered backs so there will be gaps between the seats and the buddy seat back. (This option I would like to achieve but can't find any good middle seats available)
- The complete buddy bucket setup can be installed but it would be harder to get into the back of the truck since just the backs fold down. The way they bolt up is further out than the factory buckets which means the rocker boxes will need to be removed to install some sort of nut underneath.

hope this helps. Let me know if you find a middle seat for me

Would the buddy center console from a newer dodge pick up work?

Re: Options for Center console/ buddy seat?

The buddy jump seat would be cool and yeah the seats and frame can be modified to work in the blazer, but the late model dodge and Chevy separate jump seats are much easier to retrofit. Cover in matching materials and you have to look twice to notice
