No, they didn't. Are you replacing the exhaust manifold?

Re: I6 intake / exhaust manifold bolts

Yes I am. The PO put some crappy long tube headers on and I've never been able to get rid of exhaust leaks. Plus they hang down to low for my liking. Picked up my intake and exhaust manifolds (sourced from a wrecking yard ) from the machine shop today and I'll be installing sometime this week. Any tips ??

Thanks for the reply

Re: I6 intake / exhaust manifold bolts

Start all the bolts first, then tighten the bolts in the correct sequence starting in the center, alternately out to the ends. then tighten the intake to exhaust bolts under the carb.
If there's any question of warped parts, use super high temp silicone on all the gaskets.

Long as the head surface is flat and you use a good gasket those will seal up nicely. 25 foot pounds for the manifolds in the formation already mentioned. After one heating and cooling cycle do it again and then forget your troubles. Those headers would have probably sealed up with a gasket from Clifford Performance.
