Reduced steering wheel options for 59

I am interested to learn where I can buy a smaller diameter steering wheel for my 59 GMC.

I've seen some threads on DIY but am also looking for a vendor that has them ready for paint.

All suggestions are welcome.

Re: Reduced steering wheel options for 59

Do you want it to look stock, just smaller diameter or just smaller diameter? All early truck and auto wheels are going to be the larger diameter. Newer ones will fit the splines, but you will need to use a horn conversion kit or figure it out on your own. You will need to pay attention to the "dish" offset of the wheels to make sure it is the correct distance from the dash and your gut.

Over on the HAMB board there are some threads on guys that got small diameter outer rings, cut down the stock spokes, welded and patched and painted the wheel. That is some work, not very technical, just tedious; I had to restore the steering wheel I used on my truck and had about 16 hours in grinding, filling, filing, sanding and paint.

I used a 67 chevy2 on mine. turn signals and cancelers work perfect. No adapters needed.
