Who would have thought

That finding a heater blower motor wheel would be this difficult. 1965 Chevy K10 Suburban, 283, AT. Wheel - CW rotation, H 2.6875", Dia 5.5625", Shaft dia .3125", inset .75", Shaft length 1.25", Shaft flat .625", Shaft has threaded end. Any help/leads would be greatly appreciated.

Try a 73+ motor. Rumor has it they're faster...
Or by wheel do you mean the squirrel cage blower bit? Not sure on 60-66, sorry.

Re: Who would have thought

Have you tried looking the '60-'66 classifieds section here on the forum? There are a couple guys parting out trucks. If you can't find one there, you can get them brand new here.

That will also give you an idea of the wide year range and applications that used that exact same blower wheel.

Re: Who would have thought

It's the wheel/squirrel cage/fan that I'm looking for. Still haven't found one with the right dimensions. I can deal with less height and less diameter (but the increased gap between the wheel and the housing would mean less air transfer), but the inset has been the problem.
