I don't know for sure what those guys use but it looks and sounds a lot like they are using Cerakote.

There are 3 Ceracote aplicators in Tucson. I'll query them later. The only sandblaster still in business in town wants ''$35, each'' for my pair of headers, so $70, just to strip off the Mfr's burn-off paint. The outfit in Tempe wants $250 for the basic deal. Sandblasting included. Coatings shot inside and out. For the Titanium color I like it's $280. Tempe AZ is a 2 hour drive NW from Tucson.
