I use a cheap DC winch with galvanized wire rope that goes to a pulley placed over the center of gravity. It transitions to a 3/8" poly rope and a spreader bar with 4 down lines. 2 from each end. 2 of the 4 down lines are large hooks that pick from the front seat radius. The other 2 are 1/4" rod that are bent as hooks that pick from the hatch as close to the hinges as possible. Those are covered with old heater hose to prevent damage to the top. Can't find the pictures but works well. I like the long tether switch that allows me to steer the top and pick/place the top at the same time.
