Recommend shocks
I have a 68 3/4 ton pickup I'm restoring and looking for shocks for it. I've been hearing a lot about KYB Gas-a-Just. Any ideas?

I never had good luck with the KYB's. The last couple of sets I have bought have been the Beltech street performance shocks. I have been really happy with them.

I'm just looking for a set that can haul dirt or rock from time to time and tow a trailer with and ride somewhat smooth.

Coil or leaf springs in the rear?
Rancho RS5000 series are good quality. Bilsteins are good quality.

I'm not a fan of the Rancho shocks. My experience with them is a harsher ride most recently on my buddies 2011 Duramax.
I 2nd what Scot said about the Bilsteins they are hard to beat. |
