Question Painting dash of 1952 GMC

I welded in the hacked up radio area of my dash. Now it is time to paint the dash. None of the truck has been painted yet. The outside will be metalic brown with brown upholstery. Do I paint the dash the same as the outside or do I paint it black? If I paint it the same as the outside it will be pretty glossy. If I paint it black do I use a semi-gloss paint? Just looking for ideas. Thanks.

That's totally up to you. A suggestion would be to paint the top of the dash a flat finish to prevent any glare.

one of two ways to go.. either matching, which looks good OR a color that compliments the outside.. mine is red exterior with red and gold interior.. but on those metal dashes you really want to non or low gloss the dash.. 600 grit will do that as well as buying extra paint
