Steering correction

Hey,

I just added some leaf springs to the front end of my truck. 3 of them to be exact. My truck now sits up almost 3" or so, I did this because my old ones were shot and this would stiffin it up. Now my steering wheel is off quite a bit. And my lock to center and center to lock is off. 2 turns left and 1.5 turns right. What can I do to fix this. I temporarily put the steering wheel on straight but this is just to satisfy me and doesn't solve my problem.

Thanks for any help,
Q

You can get some correction by extending the length of your drag link. It should be adjustable for a '79.

That is also why they selling aftermarket steering corrections. You can go with a 3" block under the steering arm, 4" steering arm or a 2" drop drag link from the aftermakret.
