68 GMC 2500 454 Swap

Going to do a thread on putting a 454 in a 68 GMC 3/4 Ton. . .Here's my Truck and the Motor that's going in. I've already discovered that I will have to notch the frame to use the Big Block Motor Perches for header clearance because the frame on the 3/4 is much wider than 1/2 tons. I'll write as I go, maybe it'll help someone out someday.

Re: 68 GMC 2500 454 Swap

I got the engine in the engine bay.
Few issues. I purchased Big Block Motor Perches that said they'll specifically fit all 1/2 and 3/4 ton trucks, they don't. My 3/4 ton frame is about twice as wide and I cut out the frame for the mounts to fit. Also, due to them not lining up, I drilled holes in the bottom of the perches to align with the bottom holes. See pics for both issues. Everything in the transmission to driveshaft seemed to line up just fine.
