1960 Upper Steering Column Bearing Replacement

Hi - I searched and searched but cant find anything on the 60 era steering column upper bearing. I will need to replace mine and wanted a picture of the correct one. I find the 64 and later ones all over with the plastic TS switch. I need the right picture of someones column. I don't think this truck had factory turn signals as unit has an aftermarket era correct switch attached to the column.

I want to be prepared when I pop the wheel off...

Thanks!

Classic Industries list a 1960 - 63 upper column bearing assembly E1175. In my old catalogue nothing is showing for anything newer.

I already have a bearing. Want to see how its all held together. These don't have the normal plastic switch with the upper bearing in them.

I would just go ahead and pull it apart. You will probably see how it works then. If you have a spring at the bottom of the column it will be what pulls the shaft down and takes the looseness out of the bearings, kind of like an old bicycle fork.

I pulled it apart and it was self explanatory. It appears the rag joint also helps with slop. Will be replacing that too. But now I don't have a floppy upper steering column!
