Hello,

Looking to install an Autometer Tach in the Fuel Gauge spot to the right of my Speedo. I can't seem to find the small fuel gauge to replace it for any year past 1980. I've only found ones for 75-80 and 73-78 and I have a 1984 C10.

Would either of those work? I'll be putting it where the clock is currently.

Also, will the circuit board be okay just folded back so I can fit the tach? I'd make sure it couldn't short anything but wanted to know if there's anything I should look out for.

I heard you can get a small tach and put it where the clock goes from Summit

I purchased a small fuel gauge from LMC & put it in the blank spot on my 89 duallys cluster when I added a tach. The font was correct for 81-87 gauges.

Hey SCOTI. Did you have to cut the white cluster housing at all to get the tach in? Seems that the tachs wiring harness needs a hole to pass through on these? Ive wanted to do this for some time but have no idea how hard it is.

I would like to hear more about this. Do you have any Part Numbers for what you bought fuel/tach and how much modification needed to be done?

My kit came from here....

But the quad gauge set-up was crap. They had mis-matched the font for the 2 upper vs lower gauges. That part of the kit is still sitting in the box. That's when I just ordered the small gas gauge w/the correct font from LMC.

There is a hole already in the plastic housing for the tach wire to slip through & I found another housing that had the fourth opening (clock housing vs a blank).

for a easy lazy way of doing it, yeah you can stick it where the clock was. i just removed the clock and put it in its spot and tied off the wires kinda tight to hold it there. only pic i have of it
