Previous owner never put the washer system back on after installing a cowl induction hood. The hood has the holes and indentations to mount original washer nozzles but they are to short now. Will I be able to make longer nozzles to go through the cowl or will the air flow mess with the spray. P;anning on upgrading to resivoir with pump in it. Seen pics of other trucks with these hoods any ideas

or you could go to the wrecker & take the spray nozzles off the wipers from a 1 ton, clip them on your wipers & run a hose to them. my crew has these, (factory), puts it right on your wiper where you need it, much better then spraying the cab of your truck

This is called a "wet arm" system.

I don't remember what year we went to that setup but it would be on all vehicles (not just one ton). My '87 came that way.

If you go to the wet arm system be advised that you can't adjust the nozzles so that they spray the vehicle behind you...

I have a Harwood cowl hood on my 84 GMC and the original washer nozzles are still in the cowl. They work when needed, without issue. I have found, that at 80 MPH and above the washers are virtually useless no matter whether or not there is a cowl hood.

The hood I got these nozzels off of had the grill in the hood so they could shoot up through there. My hood is solid all the way up to the windsheild now. I saw the wet arm system on a late 70's blazer and was considering that

I plan on using the wet arm system also, was gonna go to the local big truck parts house and get some like the ones on the kw I drive they clip onto the arm and you can position them anywhere on the arm
