I would kill for that patch. Any chance they could be re-produced? Matt

I'm sure the logo is trademarked like anything else. You would have to have permission to repro it I'm sure. Would be cool though.

Matt,

You don't have to kill for it! I will save a life and offer it to you in trade or partial trade for something in your Hickey stash. Would you be into a trade (or trade plus cash) for the roof rack pieces that you have? The patch has never been sewn on anything and looks brand new. Send me a PM. Thanks.

Re: who's got all the hickey enterprises parts stashed?

I've had a bunch of Hickey stuff over the years, shoud have hung onto all of it. I've probably had a dozen of the 12 bolt covers but have never even seen the Dana 44 cover in person...right now I have a Sidewinder with the pushbar and optional pusher plates, also have the hydraulic bumper jack. Have lots of catalogs from 73, 75, 78 and 81, also there tire and wheel guide and a special tubular products catalog, also have the pull out 11x17 poster of the cut away Blazer showing all there products.
Hickey contracted many other companies to manufacture products, The Black Jack header Company made all the tubular products like push bars and roll bars, Aero made their fuel tanks...and many of these products can still be found and were sold by other catalog companies like JC Whitney, for instance what everyone calls the Hickey hood was never made by Hickey or even sold by them for the 69-72 trucks, they did carry it for the 73 on up trucks and even used it themselves on race Trucks but for some reason wouldn't use it or sell it in their catalog for the 69-72s, you could buy it from J.C. Whitney tho. A couple of the best things I have owned were 2 of the Hickey license plate frames and the Tough Truck tire cover

Re: who's got all the hickey enterprises parts stashed?

Does anyone have the Sidewinder installation instructions for the 69 -72 Blazer/Jimmys?????

Or the trucks of this vintage?

Someone forwarded a copy of the '73 installation manual to me but of course the front cross member is different from the 69 -72. I'm looking for detailed info of how Hickey installed the rear support for the winch and the skid plate.

I would like to see the installation too, the sidewinder I just picked up was on a ford bronco.

I was looking at reproducing the hickey license plate frame. The copyright to hickey enterprises expired in the mid eighties. Matt

Re: who's got all the hickey enterprises parts stashed?

If that being the issue, any embroidery shop should be able to reproduce patches then. Original would be cool too. I've never seen the hickey license plate frames.

Roof rack Looks exact on that second catalog pic. It would be awesome to have a 37 gallon tank. I could go a extra hundred miles.

I'm still looking for a set of the offroad light brackets that mount to the top windshield drip rail. Anybody?

1949gmc, I tried PMing you, but your box is full.

Do you want to sell the roll bar?

Do you need any pre-50 body parts?

Re: who's got all the hickey enterprises parts stashed?

Funny how times change. Back in the day, Hickey parts were viewed like JC Whitney parts today - most guys didnt want to clutter up their rides with them. Of coarse there were far fewer aftermarket part mfrs back then too. Most of the dune buggy and 4 wheel drive parts were sourced and used out west, where they were actually put to work, and not just eye candy.

Might wanna hang onto those 37 gallon tanks - NWMP made them up until last year when they sold that division to Sunset, but I dont see any Blazer apps listed under Sunset. Perfect for a 2wd long hauler. 4wd guys might complain about couple inches less ground clearance;

http://www.nwmp.com/index.php/fuel-tanks
http://www.sunsetmetalfab.net/page008.html

http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=406742

Some better pics in this thread: http://coloradok5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=24981

They also offered a 43 gallon for the 73-91 square bodies that could be made to fit the 69-72 blazer by moving one or two crossmembers.

Re: who's got all the hickey enterprises parts stashed?

Aero Tanks in San Bernadino, CA still makes a 40 ga tank very similar to the NWMP tank (which is very similar to the Hickey tank). Just an FYI. I had (and sold) one of the Hickey tanks and it had the tag from the manufacture on it and it wasn't Hickey but some SoCal manufacture (I forget who). Hickey was a one stop shop for GM truck accessories, very centered on Blazers, but an awful lot of their parts they were just a reseller of and had little to do with their creation.

My Jimmy was heavily Hickeyed when I got it, and most of the Hickey stuff went to guys that knew what it was, a couple are members here.
