Re: who's got all the hickey enterprises parts stashed?

It would be nice if the roll bar company had a couple boxes of these HE ID plates stashed in its warehouse somewhere. I'd buy one.

Erik, where is your Dana 44 HE diff plate cover?? :-)

Orange is the original color of these?

It's a cool piece as a "collect the whole set" thing, and I'm sure offers a bit of protection for the front universal, though it's a lot of leveraged stress on a couple of cover bolts if you did take a hard hit against it. A better design would have been to make the attachment point the entire cover ring so you took the cover off, put the skid plate on (sandwiched between 2 cover gaskets) and then put the cover over it, maybe even as a 2 piece design with the mounting bracket and plate as separate pieces. That way you could even make it drop over the center section to support both the front and rear of the plate. Anyway, I know this is about the vintage part and not how you'd design it from scratch, I'm just sayin'.

I've been looking and calling no luck so far. My cover is sitting on the bench. I put a nasty rust and chrome one on for the test fit. I was trying to mount 30 lbs of steel to the cover didn't want any mistakes to cost me dearly. It will go back on tonight. Also, I was finally able to mount the steps last night. They look great.

Bet most haven't seen this "HE" cover. It's a Dana 60 in case you were wondering. First and only so far.

Re: who's got all the hickey enterprises parts stashed?

Latest score. Met a cool lady who knew Vic back in the day. She has 2 of his old ramchargers. She was nice enough to sell me these nos hub slugs and 4 stickers. She seems really cool. She had a full price offer on her trucks but wanted to see them stay in the USA.
