Re: My turn for a build up post!!

I'm sorry this is taking so long guys.....I am getting discouraged. I have been working on the wiring harness, and that is going fairly well. I am nearing completion of the wiring harness, and I started going through the boxes of parts for the next step, the air suspension, and found that I am missing all of my valves, to include dump and fill control valves, pressure switch, air breather for compresser and several of my fittings, until I can save up to replace all of them I am stuck. I don't want to do the bed be cause it would make it harder to run all of my air components, I don't want to do the interior because while I am working on the rest of the truck I will mess up the nice new leather....Once I complete the wiring I hate to say it, but I will have gone as far as I can.....it will take me almost 6 mo to save up to replace my missing parts.....and I don't even know if that is all I am missing. Wish me luck

Re: My turn for a build up post!!

you could work with the stuff you have sofar and leave the ends of the hoses a little longer so you can fit them perfectly you should be able to work under the bed then too .

or turn over and clean the whole place youre working to try and locate the lost stuff , you had it so it should still be there somewhere should take less time then the 6 months and it makes the place look a lot better in the process

Just stumbled on the thread. Very nice. Do whatever you can just to stay motivated. You'll work around the hard stuff... you're US military, hooah?

Super nice project. I just read both your build threads. I have to commend you on your spunk to get projects done.
Keep up the good work.

Re: My turn for a build up post!!

Progress is going slow, but I have gotten the wiring about 97% done, I got to mount My emergency access switch ( in case I lose My remote) and figure out why my wipers don't work. Then wire in a relay for my window to work with the remote. I finished plumbing the brakes and the fuel line. I will try to get some pics up tomorrow.

Re: My turn for a build up post!!

now I have a question, I got it started sunday evening, and stays running as long as I stand over it pouring gas down the carb. It has a new blazer tank in the rear new 3/8" steel line all the way to the new mechanical pump with an inline filter mounted under the cab. it won't pull the fuel from the tank. i have even gone so far as to prime the line. anyone else with the lwb trucks and blazer tanks have this problem or did you guys just go with a inline electric right off the bat?

Hey, I really like what you have done with your truck. I have a '72 Cheyenne that I am about half way done with and I was planning painting it orange and black. This color orange you picked would be perfect. Is that a factory color or is that a House of Kolor paint? I found one with the same name that is a 2007 Mitsubishi color code M03. Any help would be appreciated.

I just completed a blazer tank install on mine a couple weeks ago and it worked without a hitch. Mine had a supply and return line on it, but not sure if that is specific to the '72. Also these tanks need to be vented in some way. I believe the original caps were vented. I would also check to see that the sending unit you used reaches far enough down into the tank to draw fuel.
