fuel tank pictures

Does anyone have pictures of how the factory fuel tanks were mounted? My Jimmy came with an aftermarket tank and wanting to go back to a factory style set up but not sure what it will take.

Re: fuel tank pictures

I just replaced the original tank on my 71 with a replacement from LMC. The only thing holding mine up were the two metal straps that are held on by the frame.

Re: fuel tank pictures

What keeps them from hitting the tub and bending the fuel pickup and sender etc?

Re: fuel tank pictures

The flange of the tank rests on the underside of the frame rail, then the two straps hold it in place. Classic parts sells the whole kit.
