Double wall top question?

Has anyone seen a double wall top with all rivets around the holes for the hatch hinges? The 4 tops I've had had screws in this area.

Re: Double wall top question?

Its really strange because it has no holes for covers. It sure looks factory made though.

Re: Double wall top question?

I removed the hinge bolt covers and had them powder coated along with the hinges. I thought yours looked a tad different than may double wall. That's why I went out to take a pic. Does look factory. You never know with Chevrolet.

Re: Double wall top question?

WOW. That is a lot of rivets. Good to know I'm not the only one. Mine had the plug in it too.

Re: Double wall top question?

That is funny. I just counted 22 rivets on each side and 1 in the center.

My 1970 Jimmy double wall is the same with the numerous rivets. For what it's worth, a person may be able to still get those same plugs. I have a 1975 Massey Ferguson garden tractor and am a member of a forum about them. A person was needing help with a plug on a similar tractor. I took a pic of mine and he did a search and found out the company "CAPLUGS" is still in business and located what he was after.

CAPLUGS also made these so they may still be part of their inventory. No link, sorry.

The number is BP-1 if it is hard to read.
