I am looking to replace the J-Nuts on my instrument bezel with threaded rivet inserts. I am trying to figure out what the dimensions are on the screws that mount the instrument bezel to the dash. Anybody know the dimensions on those?

They are #8 x 7/8" pan head screws

The whole idea of the "J" nuts is so there is some movement in them so the screws are self aligning. If you use inserts you will have no movement and if you don't have them perfectly aligned you will probably crack your bezel tightening the screws up. Just a thought.....
