factory hub caps on 5 lug wheels ?

Converting a 57 to disc brakes, now looking for 15 inch 5 by 4 3/4 wheels that I can clip the factory hubcaps on.

Anyone has an idea who makes such a wheel ?

I know a guy that knows a guy, that says he can adapt any hubcap to any wheel.

I run 15X7 wheels with the hub cap bumps and have been looking for just such a unicorn with no success. I'd love run the baby moon style AD hub caps with the large Chevrolet script or the Art Deco style caps. If anybody can post a link I'll dance at your next wedding.

save the dance, but these guys make just about anything, if the 10.5 caps you are after exist, they will have them. they show them on this page on a rim but not as an accessory.

the other option is to change your wheels, wheelsmith makes those too. wheel vintiques makes smoothies and artillery wheels that take GORGEOUS chevrolet caps. I have used them, they are amazing.

A stock 52 Chevy Car rim is 5 lug 15 inch with hubcap clips. Not sure if it will be wide enough though . Guessing in the 4 inch width. Maybe someone will chime in on this .

that makes sense, haven't thought about that before. Sure the wheels would be kind of narrow but they can always be widened.

I'll check with Wheelsmith, though.

Frank.

Don't do the conversion and problem solved.
No need for disc brakes anyway.
Set up the drums properly and you'll have all the brakes you need.
Going to discs is an endless tail chase in my opinion. I'm sure lots will disagree, but that's my honest advice.

You should be able to use 1977-1990 Impala 2 or 4-door 15x6 or 15 x7 wheel. Just have to add the clips.

thats the same wheel as discussed above and I bet the wheel he already has looked at. he could add the clips, but the nubs would stick out, the clip on hubcap is only 7.5" if I remember. the nubs are 10"

By the way, 15x7 5 on 4 3/4 are almost impossible to find on impalas and other big bodies. I only found one set in about a year of scouring yards, and I even used the search at car-part.com I found mine on an 87 olds 98, I looked at about 10 that only had 15x6. buying them from wheel vintiques would have saved a lot of time.

Re: factory hub caps on 5 lug wheels ?

those will accept the wheel vintiques cap like on my truck, maybe you could attach clips to it too.

when I needed clips, I got them from a VW shop on ebay I think they were $11 for 20.
