Picking up my old '59 Apache tomorrow

Hey guys,
I'm pretty excited. I got rid of my '59 Apache a little over 5 years ago. I had an opportunity to buy it back and I am driving to Amarillo, TX tomorrow morning to meet up with my dad, visit for a while, then drive back home and get this thing back on the road! I'm sure that I'll have some questions and I will post some updates as I get it driving again. It's been a few years since I've spent much time here in the he '47-'59 pages, but I've been around a little bit, loitering in the '67-'72 pages. Will be good to catch up with some folks here.

Take care all!

Nik

Cool, remember to post some photos. We like road trip in the truck photos.

Re: Picking up my old '59 Apache tomorrow

Thanks guys,
My older son and I drove out to Amarillo, TX on Saturday to meet up with my dad. We ate and stayed at the Big Texan, moved the truck over from one trailer to the other on Sunday morning and drove home. Busy weekend. But, it's nice to have the old '59 back home! Now I need to finish my '68 GMC engine swap so I can get to work on this truck again.

I don't either. ;-) It's a restaraunt and hotel. Home of the free 72oz steak. Pretty neat place!
