Re: My Build, 1972 4wd DD is finally coming together!

The body was decent, rust in the normal places, rockers, doors, etc. The engine is great, cant wait to drive it and compare vs the original.

Did you have any problems with the RT intake i have seen a few people have problems with the install mainly i think with the valley cover bolts and coolant cross over tubes

Re: My Build, 1972 4wd DD is finally coming together!

We did have to modify quite a bit. Coolant tubes were cut and removed and rerouted and had to get a couple of new sensors too. Nothing too bad though.

Did you have to use a different adaptor? Who did your harness? Sorry for all the ?'s, but I am interested in doing a swap on one of my blazers.

Re: My Build, 1972 4wd DD is finally coming together!

No problem. I got the adapter from advanced adapters. They said it would be bolt on, but of course it wasn't and I had to get about three more parts and modify one of them to fit. The harness was just made out of two harnesses from lq4. Then we sent the computer to be flashed and tuned. The computer had a security circuit in it that needed to be bypassed too which was fun.

Re: My Build, 1972 4wd DD is finally coming together!

SHould have some more pictures soon. Lots of progress. Were working on shortening and lengthening the computer wires to fit inside the console, through the transmission cover. Only the fuel system and air intake left to install and then hook up all of the wiring. I'll try to post some more pictures soon.
