Drivers side ext cab window question

My Wife has a 2005 GMC Sierra Ext Cab.
Over the weekend the Latch (actually the Pin) has broke.
The window does not stay shut.
According to my Local Dealership I have to buy .....................................THE ENTIRE WINDOW ($347.00).
Now that doesn't really surprise me, but the price DOES.
Does anyone here know of a Dealership or Aftermarket place that has a cheaper priced one?
I'd even go with a Junk Yard!
I'm up on a Mountain so it's not like I can go "Price Shopping" around town for another Dealership or hit the Junk Yards.
They're about 50 miles and 2 Mountain Ranges away.
According to the Dealership, they can order it, but a Glass Shop has to put it in...(More Money).
Anyway, if anyone has one lying around or a better price, (or is the Dealership feeding me a line of Bull), please feel free to post here.
I look forward to your answers/Comments.
Roger

I think I can help you. Do you have a picture of your broken latch ? (Just latch broke or is the tab on the window popped off the glass)

Re: Drivers side ext cab window question

Truckpoorpackrat,

I have an exploded view/diagram of the piece that is broke, and can get that for you later today.
The part in question has NOT come loose from the Window.
It is a "Hook" part that wraps around a Pin and then you press the lever down and it latches tight.
It is the "Curved Part" that wraps around that Pin that has broken.
now it doesnt have enough Meat to wrap around that Pin to Latch it.

Re: Drivers side ext cab window question

If you go to,http://www.gmpartsdirect.com/catalog/frameset.cfm .The part you need is available. The dealer must have overlooked it. If you need the part number I can get it for you Monday. (I thought the link would be a picture of your part) after you go to your year, make, model, go to rear door, then glass and hardware, then latch and hardware, then latch assembly, then view illustration. Hope this helps.
