What Air Intake Set Up?

Hey guys
I have a 65 GMC with a 5.3 and the truck intake. What air intake system have you guys used? Is there a kit out there or did you make the one?
Thanks for the help!
Joe

You'll be better off building your own...that way you can clear what needs clearance...I used spectre fitting and filter on my 81..the alum tube i got off ebay...

any direction you go...having an open filter under hood is giving away big power. more so top end power, but even at low rpm, it can be far better with cool outside air.

I was planning on opening the core support up to get fresh air on the filter. I don't think though that there's much hot air under the hood of a 65, there a lot of space there.
Thanks

I'm not a big fan of HOT air intakes either. They look cool though, and sometimes that's more impotant.

I believe this is true. My 69 Road Runner I owned many years ago had a "carb air" knob that you pulled and it opened vents in the hood letting fresh air to the intake. It made a real difference in power.
Saying that my 70 C10 has the intake under the hood and to me it's good enough for a 70 C10.
