67 gmc 4x4

Hello I just joined this site because I bought a 1967 gmc 4x4 super custom. I was wondering if you could get a large rear window in 67 because I've heard you could only get the small rear window I will post pics of the truck ASAP it's from Arizona and rust free.

Re: 67 gmc 4x4

Welcome to the site. I think there were a few big rear glass '67's made, but most are small glass.

i think the "custom" option for 67 was a big window.

Re: 67 gmc 4x4

Welcome to the site! That sounds like a great find. One I'd be envious of. Can't wait for pictures. You have 24 hours!!

Like on prior years since back to Advance Designs there has been a rear window option and '67 was the last year for that with the Panoramic rear window. All trim levels came with the standard small window and the Panoramic was an option available on all trim levels. You could have a base model with one option being the big window and you could have a fully loaded, except big window,Super Custom

Re: 67 gmc 4x4

A10 "PANORAMIC CAB" is how it would be found on a SPID in 1967.

Re: 67 gmc 4x4

No it has a 402 big block I plan on putting a 327 or 283 in it eventually. would I have to change the suspension for a small block on this truck? because it looks like none of the suspension has ever been tampered with.

Re: 67 gmc 4x4

The 67 looks very good. It looks to have all of its original super custom parts. Most 67 GMC's did not have spids. If the the second digit of the vin is M it had a V6 when new.

Re: 67 gmc 4x4

Nice truck!! Suspension will be fine. Man,you're not far at all. I'm at the bottom end of Carroll County. You don't know Jason,up on Blue Hill Rd. by chance? He's a good friend who I sold my blue & white '72 K/20 to. It's been there at the body shop in Glenville since '10.

Finding a SPID in a '67 GMC is a rare find, for whatever reason. Yours probably never had one. If the VIN reads KM2xxx it started out as a V6. If it had an L6 the VIN would read KS2xxx,in case you didn't already know. GMC didn't offer V8s till at the end of '67,so not a whole lot of those.

Oh yeah, you could throw a stone into Maryland from your house. You made that '85 look sweet. I've noticed some of your projects going on. Seems there was once a shiny li'l red shortbed turned outta there.
