Calling all stepside a with bed mods

I have a new frame being fabricated right now with a 4” step notch in the rear. Mainly looking for raised bed floor or notched ideas for a stepside but want to see everything from filled caps to custom lights as well.

Also, anyone running an 11 or 12 inch wide wheel I’d like to know your mods and or clearance on your rear fenders.

Re: Calling all stepside a with bed mods

Short fleet wheel tubs & the center section of a steel floor bed raised as necessary would be a good choice or just raising the wood floor w/the fleet bed tubs.

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.

Re: Calling all stepside a with bed mods

Scoti, I think the first picture is what you are talking about and I can’t say that I like it much.

The second picture is a little better. More thought put into it and looks cleaner.

But I am looking for pictures of mods like these so I can formulate a plan for mine. Would like to be minimalistic as I only have a 4” step up but I will also have a 12” wide wheel with a narrowed rear end, so I have to look at good options for possible getting into the bed for the wheel well.

Re: Calling all stepside a with bed mods

i dont own a step side but i like the pic with the fleetside wheel tubs modded to the inside of the step bed . looks like factory could have done it to me .

if there to wide for you just narrow them up a bit to get the room you need .
