Panel adhesive

I have a small piece I would like to bond...I don't really want to buy a gun and big tube for this...it will be for one time use...
is the syringe type (eastwood Replacement No Weld Panel Adhesive Item #31087) worth the trouble?
Here is what I have....it's the mount for my overhead radio enclosure...I plan on using screws to hold it where it mounts above the mirror..it's where the mount will contact the roof that im wanting to bond....(or is this a bad idea?)...it's a single thickness roof....or any better suggestions...
Blue area is where I'm wanting to use bond agent...yellow area is where it will be screwed overhead of mirror....since it'll never be removed ,i may bond above mirror(yellow section) with a couple screws as well...

Evercoat adhesives use a regular cartridge gun that you can buy at a the hardware store for a few bucks.

Brian is 100% correct if you insist on bonding, but I'm wondering why you'd need to bother if you're screwing it into place.

Thanks Brian...I've asked for evercoat products before locally and i always get a blank stare...its not readily available in my area, I've been having to order the evercoat filler I've been using...any one of those in particular on the page you listed?.....

Stomper...I'll lay it out for you...without the adhesive the screws in the sheetmetal would be the only thing holding it up...I'm afraid with the weight of the bracket,box,and radio that over time it would stress the sheetmetal where the screwed down section is....and or rattle at every bump...

you can see where the section is where the screws will go...not much there to be holding up the weight..

Do you use just a regular caulking gun ? I thought the panel adhesive was a 2 part.

It IS a 2k, the cartridge has both the components in it.



Mongocanfly, now understand, I have never used these adhesives. I use a commercial brand where I work but have used many other Evercoat products for years and they are ALWAYS top notch. I will often say that if Evercaot made TV's I would buy one, they are a first class company.

In todays lawyer filled world they wouldn't be telling you to use this to bond a roof skin or quarter panel on unless they KNEW it could handle it. And that is MILES above what you are doing, so I would feel perfectly fine using it.

I know I have seen an "exploded view" of that cartridge showing how the two components are in there but I can't find it now. But it has the hardener in a separate container in it that mixes with the main one in the mixing tip just like all the others on the market. They just made it so you don't HAVE to have your typical two cartridge gun that costs so much.

Thanks Brian...Ill have to see if I can find some...I may use the 100815 if I can find it...on eBay its 53.00 a tube...
