72 grill repair

Has anyone used Plastex ( https://www.plastex.net/index.php ) to repair broken pieces of the grill? I see the grill is commonly broken near the hood release. Rather than buying a new grill I thought maybe it could be repaired using that stuff.

Any input would be appreciated.

Re: 72 grill repair

I've used this with good results.

Just tape up the front and fill the back. Helps if it is not on truck.

The urethane adhesives are not that good.

Re: 72 grill repair

I used JB weld, it was cracked, cleaned and applied. Used paint stir stick with sand paper to clean it up after it dried...then painted.
