Hi, Im looking for a set of spring equalizers. I see them online but not the size for my 1959 chevrolet 3100. Does anyone know where I buy a set for the rear drum brakes?

Emergency brake spring equalizer? as many years as I did brake work daily I never heard of that term. Exactly what springs are you looking for?

I can't find a part number that fits the 59. That says 51 to 87 and one for an 80 something should work if you use a matched pair.

They would probably have to get them on the next truck out of the warehouse. If you have to pay shipping and wait you may as well order from classic parts. Or raid the truck row at the local pick a part.

All they do is push the bar back when you release the park brake so absolutely exact probably isn't an issue.

My ongoing truck projects: 48 Chev 3100 that will run a 292 Six. 71 GMC 2500 that is getting a Cad 500 transplant. 77 C 30 dualie, 454, 4 speed with a 10 foot flatbed and hoist. It does the heavy work and hauls the projects around.
