Re: Wing vents whistling!! Help!

One of my old trucks had a horrible whistle . I took black electrical tape , opened the vent windows , and wrapped it along the vent frame . The frames are already black and the tape is the perfect width to wrap around the inside , leading edge , and outside of the frame a little .this increases all dimensions of the vent assembly and since it is a rubbery tape , it seals really well when you close it against the rubber seal . I put three layers on the driver side and two on the passenger side ( just to make them seal well ). They were still functional and were perfectly quiet when closed . Unless you look directly at them the tape is unnoticeable . Best thing is it only took about 1-2 minutes per side and just about everyone has a roll of electrical tape . Frank
