Couple random burbish questions

I have a 72 K20 Burb that I purchased as a basic shell, but most of the body work finished. No nose. Over the last few years Ive managed to get together pretty much everything I need to put it together. Its stored at a friends place and he recently told me its fine where it sits. Which is great because of storage space issues Im working on.

So I have no spid or build sheet, bummer. What was the max trim level on a burb? I think I read no Cheyenne Supers. I have the white door panels with scroll work and chrome trim strip ... would those be max trim? How would I figure out what upholstery it came with? I have a ton of seats, but I don't think any of them are original to this truck haha! I'm not worried about keeping it 100% original, just curious.

Also would it say anywhere on the vin that this was a K20 Vs. K10?. It has K10 axels now. Would it pass as either or?

Plus I may put it on the block anyway hahahahaha! Geeze Im a crackhead with these darn trucks =)

Re: Couple random burbish questions

Custom Deluxe (Z62) has the highest trim level. Upgrading to the all vinyl seat covers (A52) included wood grain door panel inserts like a Cheyenne.

Third digit in the VIN. KE1 would be 1/2 ton, KE2 would 3/4

Re: Couple random burbish questions

Excellent info, thanks! Seems weird that all vinyl is a higher option over vinyl with cloth inserts.
