early 88 had lines on the white part of the gauges. late 88 and 89 didnt.

I think there were some differences in the transmissions offered...

I have brochures for both 88 and 89. In fact, one of the 88 brochures is for the introduction in mid-87, while the other is for the 88 model year. Never thought to look at minor differences in the vehicles. Now, I can at least check out what Chevy was offering.

IN '89 not in '88 (1)Regular cab & Ex Cab had new opional 4x4 sport graphic package.
(2)Fleetside Sport with a 6.5' pickup box was available as an interim. (3)Dark Cognac replaced Saddle in interior colors. (4)4x4 sport had black-out wheel opening flares, bumpers, mirrors and a front air dam with tow hooks. |

nothing major but i think the wiper motor is 88 only.little stuff like that. best looking front end in my opinon!

..dragginmetal..that's interesting..never heard about the bed 6-1/2ft bed..did they continue offering that? I did hear that '89 changed from separate glass headlights in the middle of that year and went to the composits like the'90..any truth to that?
