I don't mind telling you I get soggy eyed. Every time. There are just some song lyrics and certain singers sound that just makes it touch you.
I have asked my wife to have 2 songs played at my funeral.

Admittedly I'm kinda weird on this subject. Driving around town picking up parts and the like it's talk radio in the morning and country the rest of the time. The moment you put a 5 string bass in my hands all I want to play is metal. However I also study classical guitar off and on.

When I was cutting my teeth as a music fan, I realized that so much of what I liked was blues influenced! Me and a buddy started listening to blues, I even went to see Muddy Waters in Omaha in 1982.
A great show, the man was so cool and smooth!

Your post made me think of this album, before reading the full post. I just erased the links back to your text when I see you mention Albert. It's amazing how our musical tastes are similar, growing up in the 60's and 70's. I just never accepted what was being played on popular radio, over and over!

Driving around town picking up parts and the like it's talk radio in the morning and country the rest of the time. The moment you put a 5 string bass in my hands all I want to play is metal.
