I don't mind telling you I get soggy eyed. Every time. There are just some song lyrics and certain singers sound that just makes it touch you.
I have asked my wife to have 2 songs played at my funeral.

This is one of them.

Alright, I'm going to bust up this country music business with some "alternative" The older I get the more I love this song, truly a masterpiece. I like playing drums to it, deep tones and precise, somehow classical-ish.

Okay, back to pinch of country, this is one of my favorites: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ah0gn5-M2cA

Not a big country fan, but no artist has more on my collection than Cash. Hard to pick a favorite, but this is one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mLsjCLF_CtM

For the past hour I have been watching videos and have really enjoyed Mark Knopfler and Emmylou Harris. It sounds like an odd combination but it works.

This one played after the Warren Haynes tune Tim linked earlier, Warren and Joe Bonamassa "Feel Like Breaking up Somebody's Home":

More Joe, channeling BB King, "Thrill is Gone":

One more, I don't know what country slot you'd put them in. I dig 'em. Little Big Town, "Day Drinking" (live @ CMA's):

I fell in love with this Alabama girl in about 1978 with this song.
She's a beautiful woman with a smooth sound all her own.

Re: What kind of Music do YOU like ? Post it up, Please

The music keeps on coming. I always loved this song and my next older sister knows it. So, at my wedding in '90 she sang it with my brother in law playing guitar. Wedding was held in a pavilion at Washington Monument State Park (locals built before the on in DC) on top of a mountain on a most beautiful Oct 7th perfect blue sky 70 degree day. Yeah, I wept some tears

Admittedly I'm kinda weird on this subject. Driving around town picking up parts and the like it's talk radio in the morning and country the rest of the time. The moment you put a 5 string bass in my hands all I want to play is metal. However I also study classical guitar off and on.

There are still some very good new bands out there. One is Spoon, Texas born:

I'm a sucker for 50-70s pop music. I have "decade playlists" with one hit wonders and that. Anyway, here's a few off my 70s list. A little flashback for some of you:

Taste of obscure. No doubt some don't get the tune, but I like it a bunch: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zVJub2dvgaE

Your post made me think of this album, before reading the full post. I just erased the links back to your text when I see you mention Albert. I thought of him when you said "great show" about Muddy and also your realization (same as mine) back then that so much of the music I liked was actually redone old blues songs. And my dad was a big Delta blues nut, played Leadbelly, Josh White, Robert Johnson, etc tunes both on record and did his own playing and singing. I was familiar with the blues "before" hearing Cream play Crossroads or any of the other electrified/altered blues.

So here is Albert and Little Stevie. Both gone, sadly, both just having fun. Albert made quite a stage presence and did bring the band. An epic dou:

Then, taking a turn, this is the tune I came here wanting to share. This southern rock was so good it was outlawed

Since we got into some blues based talk...

Fleetwood Mac started off primarily a blues band. I started listening to them on their English Rose album and followed them through their changes. They did a double album called Fleetwood Mac In Chicago that is a gathering of studio sessions, recorded live, with some of the greats

And i just have to add this:

Fleetwood Mac started off primarily a blues band. I started listening to them on their English Rose album and followed them through their changes. They did a double album called Fleetwood Mac In Chicago that is a gathering of studio sessions, recorded live, with some of the greats

And i just have to add this:

It's amazing how our musical tastes are similar, growing up in the 60's and 70's. I just never accepted what was being played on popular radio, over and over!
My first and only Fleetwood Mac album was English Rose!
Here is a British band I was playing back then.

Re: What kind of Music do YOU like ? Post it up, Please

Very cool trivia about Fleetwood Mac, I didn't know that. Here's an old FM song I like. Many haven't heard it, and 50/50 those that have don't know it's FM. On a side, I thought Stevie Nicks was a great solo artist. Just yesterday I was just telling my son how in our day, "all" the girls wanted to be like Stevie Nicks. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8ZeTlMpnfHk

Much of the info. applies to all 67-72 GM trucks, and to a lessor degree all 67-72 GM vehicles. My build thread, and more on the guide https://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/...d.php?t=730025

I'm all 80's & Classic Rock. I really like this song, and more than anything, love the older trucks & cars in the video.
