Perv!!! :ror: LOL, it is a 1977 GMC High Sierra I picked up from a guy in Cali, now I just gotta get it to Louisiana. My plans are LS3 376/480 e rod engine and a 4L85e trans. I will be replacing the wheels with some American Racing Salt flat wheels 20'' in the front 20'' in back 4 -6 static drop.

Here are the wheels, the gray will be paint one of the body colors.

I am looking to build a clean cruiser that I can jump in drive to Cruising the Coast and the drive it home. I am shooting for good to great fuel mileage with all the creature comforts of a new truck like cruise, A/C, heat, great sound system but all in an old 1977 GMC High Sierra wrapper. I will be replacing the 12 bolt with a 9 inch rear, Detroit locker and big breaks all the way around. After all 500+ horsey power should move this old girl along good. I learned what not to do after the swap on my 1976 Jimmy High Sierra and this one should be fun! look for up dates soon. First thing is first I gotta get it home and spit it and see what all I will need to make it happen.

Not my favorite color combination, but super super clean.

It's already got a little bit of a drop going on (not stock ride height).

FN Nice!! Seems the tans/browns in a two tone are pretty hot currently. Must be nice to have one that just needs a drop and big wheels. The wheels will look great! Lucky you!

Very nice! I actually really like the color combo. I agree with the earlier post that it looks like it's already been dropped at least 2-3 inches front and rear. Personally, I wouldn't change a thing. It looks perfect as-is.

Yeah buddy that's sexy allright. My 78 is like that but hs the ugly maroon color in the middle. I reckon ill be painting the middle white one of these days.

Not my favorite color but it is clean and yes it has a 2''-4'' drop with front springs, hangers and shackles.

Nice buy. I was watching the truck on Ebay and considered it but I bought a 65 Malibu recently and am not looking to get divorced just yet. I love the colors but I am biased since one of my favorite trucks was my 78 Cheyenne that was Buckskin in and out. Keep us posted on its progress.

It is better to ask for forgiveness then permission! Mine was not happy. She said Chip another truck to kill the grass!?! I said yeap! Then I said I could be like all your friends husband and become a hunting and fishing fan! Spend 60K on a boat and stay gone finish all the time fishing. She is better now I told her she will love the new truck and now my 1976 Jimmy will not get so lonely.

I think it will look good in front of my Jimmy towing it and the LS3/4L85 with a Ford nine will hold up just fine. First thing first get it in my hands and spit shine it shipping is not as bad as I figured it would be. My 2011 CCSB GMC Sierra has a 6.2/6L80 with a SF14 bolt that would make a gooooooood organ donor! Whatcha think?
