I feel like the luckiest guy in the world!!!

I was at Scotts Super Trucks, in Penhold , AB today. Scott had just returned from a trip to the U.S., where he had brought back some used parts for 67-72's.

I spotted a mint 67-68 factory bucket seat set , with the flip down centre seat. Asked if it was for sale , and it was. Thought to my self, that I would pass , as they were expensive.

Since then, I have been thinking about the seats all day, and wonder if the chance to find another set will come again ( these are very rare to find in Western Canada).

I got home, and mentioned to my wife that I had picked up a few truck parts today and saw a great set of factory buckets for the 67.

An hour later, my wife came to talk to me, and told me that she just got off the phone with Scott, and bought the seats for me, as a Birthday gift for my upcoming 30 Bday!!!!

I am so excited! These will really finish off my 67, and make it a fairly high option, factory correct , truck.

The seats are in original blue vinyl. I will have to get them reupholsered, in a black hounds tooth type of style. The foam , and frame is in excellent condition.

This is a great day.

It's great when your wife understands how important your hobbie is to you. She also likes to watch hockey, which is important if you are Canadian.

Any one have any pics of 67-68 style buckets that have been redone.

Somebody offered me a set today for free. Of course I had to take the entire truck that was wrapped around the seat . Silly me. I declined. No room for more junk.

Hey -70CSTShort Wide - I like the way you had yours recovered. Did a local shop just make the upholstery , or was it something that you purchased. That color would be perfect for my truck, as I have basically a black interior, and my truck is silver on the exterior.

Hey Mountain, I purchased new seat upholstery from Scott for my bench. I got it in black with red houndstooth inserts. It fit awesome, and looks great. Not sure of the brand, but it is nice quality. Hope to have some pics of it up this week.

Thumbs up

Mt. Man. I bought the seat as is from a friend who had it custome done at a shop. Had to give $600 U.S. but just had to have it.

P.S. I love Canada, I get up that way for work once in a blue moon (Rocky Mt House), sure is pretty country.

check out Early Classic Ent. web page for pic's of their 68. They redid the buckets in factory material / style, if that matters to you.
