Spare tire cover

I bought this silver ABS spare tire cover for my suburban but decide to go a different route. The picture of the white is from another board member that I go the idea from. $200 + shipping.

Re: Spare tire cover

Hey Rob,
Don't know about at $200, but might be interested - Is there something that keeps the cover sitting in place, or is it just resting on top of the spare?
Thanks

It basically just sits in place. It probably wouldn't be that hard to make something to attach it. You can check out this thread for more information:

http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=626002. I'm sure we can work something out. Let me know.

Re: Spare tire cover

Thanks Rob... I'm not sure what I want to do right there.
Since I'm not carrying the old spare any longer, I'm kind-of in the air on what to do right there. I'm thinking I might build something that looks like a cover, but will have a door that opens to a makeshift toolbox or extra storage or something??

No problem, let me know. I still have a couple of decent headliner bows and trim pieces if need them.

Dude - I didn't know you had any good bows - If you have 2 without any chips missing, I might be interested... Can you post any pics in my ceiling bow thread and what you would want for them?
Thanks!

I'll try to post some this afternoon, or you can text me to remind me. Both would have to be painted.
