Crew cab conversions

I'm seriously considering a crew cab conversion in the future. I've done some reading, and watched other builds, and I've seen some really nice four doors on this board. However, a couple of the builds I've watched have started out with a Suburban. Have there been very many done without using a Suburban and just use two pickup cabs? I understand using a Suburban cuts down on the fab work, but Suburban just aren't that easy to come by. Plus, I would feel a little guilty cutting up a Suburban. I'm interested in hearing from anyone that has experience in building a crew cab without using a Suburban.

Re: Crew cab conversions

Check out these guys

There's a guy on here from this company. They make some custom pieces for crew cabs like rocker panels and b-pillars, and I think they use two truck cabs.

Re: Crew cab conversions

Thanks. His crew cab builds turn out great, but he uses Suburbans.
