Will mini starter fit?

I have a one piece rear main block mated to a 61 manual bellhousing. The original design starter bolts to the bell while the mini would bolt to the engine block. Does anyone know if the mini would work? IIRC i have the 153 tooth flywheel. Thanks,Bo

It should. Make sure the holes are in the block. Mine are offset on the 400 block and no hole for straight set. Old Billet aluminum block with Izzuzu diesel starter before minis were available.
