Looks like someone could take that bumper and maybe cut it down some, would hate to see it go to the recycler...

Yeah, what he said! Seems it wouldn't be too difficult (for someone who knows what they're doing) to cut that bumper down to normal size and nobody would ever know. Probably easier than finding a correct step bumper for a step side.

The problem with the bumper is that it is so big and bulky and heavy and I really have nowhere to put it. I would like it to go to a good home but if not, then it will need to be dealt with. I'm not going to be using it.

Regarding the engine, here is the casting number - 3769716.

I'm assuming this is the original engine but a lot can happen in 50 plus years. It could have been rebuilt or swapped at some point It is certainly the original type for a 62 C20.

Was the green paint only for the 261?
