is it okay to hang 1/2 inch valve from the tank?

i will take a picture later but, i have four ports with each port I want to run a direct "T" valve x line x valve. is it to heavy for the port? or any other issue i should know about?

only have one valve with me but imagine two curious about weight on the port.
hope someone has done this before

you'll end up cracking the brass at the threads with no support.you can make a bridge style support to mount the valves to(the valves should have come with mounting brackets).the support can bolt to the tank legs or under the legs

Don't have mounts, maybe
i should mount to frame?

Had mine hanging from tank since 1998 on my blazer 8 years daily driver , my truck since 05 60k miles no issues no leaks
I have no issues doing it and have done it many times without issue

I'm running 3/8 valves. I have the fronts hanging from the tank. 4000 miles so far and no problems. The valves aren't heavy and brass is soft, cracking seems highly unlikely to me.

I had mine hang off the sides of 2 10 gal SD tanks. There is nearly 1/2" or more or thread into the tank, so its not like its "barely" in there. I could go full lift and dump to slam the rear end and the valves would barely move.
Use liquid teflon, let it dry, assemble. Just check it every oil change because with a steel tank and brass valves, they CAN loosen.
