hey guy i am looking at a 53 ford this even could you guys give some pointers on this truck please , it has a 350 and a 4 speed tranny he says , it has a small oil leak on oil pan ( does the motor have to be pulled ?? ) and a small leak were the kick down leaver goes ( ??? ) newer stuff include, carb, battery, hood emblem, steering wheel emblem, door latches, fuel pump and some other stuff.Manuel breaks and steering. ( ill change later ) he said This truck might need break work and a bigger cooling fan for the radiator.( got me )

UMM, you do undestand that this is a "CHEVY-GMC" truck board? Yes the motor will have to be pulled and replaced with a 289 or 302 FORD and posted on the F-100 Truck Forum!!! Just messing with you but depending on year of 350 it might have to be pulled to change out the rear main seal. I would ask seller to fix the leak or knock down price, for 10K still nut bad.

Difficult but not impossible to replace pan seals depending on location of suspension to pan. Why does the 4 speed manual have a kick down lever??? Ford truck guys would have a better idea of value overall. If I was mean I would send you over to the HAMB board....

Is this a 4 speed automatic with a floor shift or a 4 speed manual?

Most 53-56 Ford F1s have Chevy engines any more so I guess it's OK to answer a question about them, LOL. That truck still has it's straight axle so I would guess that if you jacked it up and supported it by the frame the axle would drop down far enough to get the pan off. It's a nice looking truck, but be aware that someone has cut the front frame horns off and filled the valence. that would be a negative for me but maybe not for everyone. Also the front lower cab corners are rust spots on those trucks. Look in the area between the door and fender and see it there's a lot of filler in that area. If it's as solid as it looks the price is not out of line.

the only rust is at the bottom of door cab is fine ,,i am going to get it on the rack this weekend ill let you know
